What Readers Are Saying

Educator Review

 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"When Progress Doesn't Come is an easy read; which is beneficial because the terms SPED and IEPs can be intimidating to parents and Gen Ed teachers. The book's glossary was very helpful in defining words and acronyms that parents and teachers might not be familiar with. I found the questions in Chapter 12 - Questions Parents Should Ask at Every IEP Meeting to be questions that can also be asked in a Gen Ed setting. As someone who has been an Elementary General Education teacher for over a decade and who has sat in on numerous IEPs, this book was a tremendous help for me in gaining a better understanding of the IEP system and meeting the needs of the students in my class who have IEPs."

Family Review

 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"The author has provided a front seat view of a serious educational issue that needs to be addressed immediately and objectively. IEP as they are currently being administered, monitored, and reported are not effective. Her concern for the children who are supposed to be improving in the IEP program is heard throughout the day and her writing. As an educator, she is calling all responsible parties to be held accountable for the lack of improvement of the students in the program.

A must read for parents with children who have challenges in some areas."
